Where transparency meets liquidity
Our Platform & Capabilities
LEMI offers seamless issuance, storage, transfer, and settlement of electronic Promissory Notes and Bills of Exchange to marketplaces and networks that run price discovery platforms for lenders and borrowers.
These capabilities are designed to support efficient transaction lifecycles, enhance trust in digital instruments, and enable better liquidity management across the financial ecosystem.
Our Solution
LEMI’s solution is a post-trade Market Infrastructure that offers safekeeping of the digital assets used in Lending and Trade Finance (for example, electronic Promissory Notes or Bills of Exchange).
LEMI manages the life cycle of the digital asset for Lending and Trade Finance as shown below on its Centralised electronic Promisory Note Depository (CePD).
LEMI’s existing infrastructure in the UK is fully operational and available to UK and International based public and private sector parties for domestic and cross border lending and trade finance transactions under the English law through the Instimatch Global Marketplace.
Issuance
Borrowers (Banks and Corporates) agree with price discovery functionality to evidence a borrowing / financing with an electronic Promissory Note on the Instimatch Global Marketplace or in the future with various applications such as ERP’s, treasury and accounting systems, B2B e-commerce platforms etc.
Storage
CePD stores electronic Promissory Notes in its electronic Promissory Note registry and makes them available to the holder via investor accounts with exclusive control.
Transfer
CePD can enable funding and execute title transfer (DvP) of electronic Promissory Notes to and for banks, non-bank funders and investors during the transaction life cycle.
Delivery
Ultimately, the CePD will enable fiat payments throughout the whole lifecycle of an electronic Promissory Note until final payment at maturity. Initially, the CePD will capture payments executed outside the LEMI platform.
The LEMI Market Infrastructure can be provided as a service for lending marketplaces and networks and can be white-labelled to existing operators as a post-trade infrastructure.

Use case
Electronic Promissory Notes (ePNs) Marketplace
Together with our partner Montran, Lemi delivered a white-labelled market infrastructure in the UK for Instimatch Global. This partnership enabled UK Local Authorities (Instimatch customers) to lend and borrow funds from each other using ePNs on Instimatch’s MoneyMatch Marketplace. Lemi provided the post-trade services - the issuance, storage, transfer, and delivery of ePNs.
